When did you start working at WSCR-NCORP?
September of 2016
What is your favorite part of working at WSCR-NCORP?
All the amazing people I work and meet who are committed to bringing clinical trial options to every eligible person who has received a cancer diagnosis.
What do you like most about the work we do here?
Educating our constituencies about the work we do.
What are you most proud of in your career so far?
That I started out as a professional educator and continue to use that expertise when educating people about our work.
How would you describe our company culture?
We do our work with integrity and compassion for each other and the people we work with outside our organization.
What’s one thing people don’t know about you that they would be surprised to find out?
I am terrified of heights.
What do you think makes our team culture unique?
We enjoy working with each other and so many of our teammates have remarked on how much they love their jobs.
How did you get started in the field of research?
As CEO, I do not work in research directly, but I have learned so much about research by working my way up from when I first started with our organization as the Development Director.
What’s one thing that surprised you about your current role?
I don’t think being CEO has changed who I am fundamentally as a person, but I have learned that being CEO sometimes helps me open doors faster for our organization.
What’s one thing on your bucket list?
To visit all our remote sites and meet our amazing colleagues at each of them. Related to that, I want to see WSCR-NORP sites all over the US (and not just because I want to travel!)
